Faith
Redeemer Lutheran College's motto, Spes Nostra in Christo Est(Our Hope is in Christ), underscores Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of faith, hope, and purpose in our lives. Students and staff are motivated to excel across all facets of school life, striving to develop and employ the unique gifts and talents bestowed upon them. This commitment fosters a journey of growth and discovery, working collaboratively with parents to nurture and educate their children.
Students achieve personal growth and are empowered to apply their God-given abilities in meaningful ways. Redeemer Lutheran College is proud to partner with parents in their children's education and development.
The college integrates all teaching, learning, and co-curricular activities within the Christian faith, as interpreted by the Lutheran Church of Australia.
Lutheran schools are committed to nurturing students, guided by the Word of God, to develop their talents for a positive impact on the world. These schools recognise learning as a divine gift, encouraging wonder, growth, and a duty to meet the world's needs.
Lutheran schools are hopeful communities, fortified by God's promises of love and forgiveness, enabling staff and students to approach the future with confidence.

Christian Studies classes are mandatory for all students, providing an opportunity to explore religious and spiritual matters within an educational framework. The school respects the diverse denominational, cultural, and religious backgrounds of the community, and no attempt is made to convert students to a specific worldview or denomination. At Redeemer, Christian Studies maintains an academic focus, aiming to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of spirituality in today's world.

The school nurtures a Christian community where faith is expressed through love, concern, and daily worship directed to the Triune God. Chapel devotions occur at 8.35 am on four weekday mornings, welcoming parents. Informal devotions are held in pastoral care groups and classrooms. The College respects diverse denominations, grounding worship in Lutheran theology to support spiritual growth. Special worship services coincide with Christian festivals, as listed in the College Calendar, with parents invited to attend.

Redeemer Lutheran College is deeply rooted in Christian faith and is dedicated to inspiring excellence and personal growth. By nurturing each student's unique talents and abilities, the college fosters a supportive and enriching environment. In collaboration with parents, Redeemer Lutheran College empowers students to make a positive impact on the world, encouraging them to apply their skills and values in meaningful ways. This holistic approach ensures that students are not only academically prepared but also spiritually and morally grounded, ready to contribute to society with confidence and purpose.
At Redeemer Lutheran College, our values form the cornerstone of our community, guiding both students and staff in their daily lives. We embrace curiosity with a spirit of wonder, encouraging a thirst for understanding and a passion for exploring the world around us. Courage is a defining trait in our community, as we empower individuals to stand firm in their convictions and make ethical choices, even when facing challenges or fear. Being Christ-led, we are committed to recognizing Christ in every person and serving Him through acts of kindness, compassion, and service to others. These values collectively foster a nurturing environment where individuals are inspired to grow intellectually, morally, and spiritually.

Wellbeing
At Redeemer Lutheran College, we are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment tailored to each student's unique needs. Our student-centered approach integrates a strong pastoral care system that supports academic, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Pastoral Care Leaders, Learning Mentors, and Home Group Teachers work closely with families to nurture individual growth, while our Dean of Faith enriches the school's spiritual life and supports faith journeys.
We value each student's uniqueness, fostering a Gospel-based community that encourages self-worth and integrity. Pastoral care is woven into our academic and co-curricular activities, emphasizing the development of strong, positive relationships. Weekly home group sessions and assemblies allow for meaningful engagement among students and mentors.
Collaboration between school and families is crucial for educational success. Parents play an active role in supporting school values and expectations and are encouraged to communicate regularly with teachers about their child's progress. We host two Parent/Teacher/Student Partnership Meetings annually to facilitate comprehensive discussions on academic and personal development. By working together, we aim to ensure the holistic success and well-being of each student.
At Redeemer Lutheran College, we are committed to creating an environment that nurtures the spiritual, emotional, and social growth of each student. Guided by our Christian faith, we emphasize core values such as respect, integrity, and compassion, which are ingrained in our educational approach. Our holistic focus ensures that students not only excel academically but also thrive personally and spiritually.
Certainly. When choosing a Lutheran education at Redeemer, we request that families willingly and freely support the college's Lutheran principles, Christian education, values, and stated objectives. We expect all students to participate in regular devotional Christian worship, including Chapel services, class devotions, and Assemblies. Attendance at these devotional activities is mandatory for all students. While participation in the specific actions of worship is voluntary, we expect all students to attend these events respectfully and courteously.
In the words of the classic Lutheran summary of faith, we believe that we are saved 'by grace, for Christ's sake, through faith'. In other words, there is nothing we can do to earn God's favour or to gain eternal life. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has won all this and more for us. We also believe that only the Bible is the source of inspiration and teaching.
The clear majority of Redeemer staff identify themselves as Christian, with all staff being supportive of the Christian ethos of the College.
